Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/10/2014

Number: 1

This may not even count as a sighting since I had ordered some milkweed plants to set in my flower beds in an attempt to help bring back the monarch population. I ordered the plants from LiveMonarch.org but I am not sure where they are located. Plants arrived approximately 1 week ago and last night when I watered them I noticed the very small caterpillar on one of the plants. I am not sure if he hatched after the plants arrived or it he was there, but so small that I did not notice him before. I am so thrilled and hope he lives to produce a beautiful monarch butterfly. Would love to know what other plants he might like to munch on! Thanks for letting me participate!
