I don't recall ever seeing so many hummingbirds in my garden as I did today. They were very aggressive and territorial. Based on the calculation of multiplying the number you see at one time by six is how I came up with the estimate of 60. I saw 10 at one point--five at one feeder, two at another and three perching in other spots. That's just at one moment in time. They were fun to watch, but fighting way too much. I have several feeders up, and hanging baskets of flowers, and so do the neighbors. So, no need to fight. I know that's what they do, I just wish they weren't so aggressive.
