Students from Farnsworth Middle School have been making observations of monarchs over the last week. Since our community is located on the shores of Lake Michigan, it makes for an ideal place to watch for many different migrating animals. Most students have reported seeing monarchs flying in a south to westerly direction. A few students reported monarchs feeding at various nectar sources such as cone flowers and golden rod.
