Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/01/2014

Number: 4

The monarchs started showing up about 10 days ago (estimating 9/1/14). I am now getting 2-4 visiting daily (9/11/14). Some land on the lawn. Most land on my butterfly bush. Which is a lavender color. They seem to have no interest in the white butterfly bush, so far. I have been taking photos. I'm not sure if they lay eggs on the butterfly bush? Which is a concern, since I was going to prune it. They seem to be around here a good bit. Covering a area from the ocean to about 10 miles inland. I also see them while driving on the freeway quite often. I need to go check the parks where they have been known to gather in large numbers.
