This morning I woke up to a hard frost on the garage roof and windshield of my vehicle. There was no frost on the grass or flowerbeds, so it looks like the bedding plants survived. On Sept. 9th I had 4 warbler species in my back yard: Tennessee, Orange-crowned, Yellow and Yellow-rumped. More for interest than anything else, an early snow fall on Wednesday, Sept. 10th dumped at least 17 inches of snow west of Lethbridge at my brother's place which is about 120 km west of here in the Beaver Mines area. It was still snowing when he measured. Lethbridge had mostly rain with a few flakes mixed in. Attached is a picture of a Tennessee Warbler.
