Number: 3

Late afternoon I went out and saw 3 butterflies looking quite worn. One butterfly had paper thin wings and missing large sections. It flapped alot to make it to a mexican sunflower. I crept up behind and captured him. Very energetic male. I took him inside and repaired his wings and released him. He flew away with improved but not perfect flight since the scales on remaining original wings looked near gone. I took some photos of him before and after. Looks several weeks old. The other two looked worn but not quite so bad and no missing pieces.
