I participate in an annual hawk watch and we also tag monarchs for Monarch watch. Sept 12 about 2pm after a steady stream all day the monarchs just took over. They were literally everywhere. 1000+ to be conservative. They were also roosting just west of Rosetta McClain gardens. Quite a sight!
