Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/13/2014

Number: 14

After five straight days of cloudy/rainy weather I was ready for some sun. It seemed like the monarchs were too. Today I went outside with my brother to see if we could tag monarchs. We were out there for half an hour and we saw fourteen monarchs. All of them were headed south. One of them was nectaring on our zinnias. At one point we saw two monarchs in the sky pretty close to each other. It was mostly sunny and the temperature was 57 degrees fahrenheit.
