3 chilled hummingbirds were gathered by my deck at dawn, waiting for me to put out my 3 feeders, which I'd brought in over night since temperatures had dipped down to the mid 30s. I quickly hung out the feeders and the trio of hummers refueled. As the day progressed, I got a good look at the individual hummingbirds. Two appeared to be young females (who sat together at feeders) and the other was definitely a juvenile male. By mid afternoon, all three were looking quite chubby.
