I released 4 female monarchs this afternoon and still have 9 chrysalids. Over the past 2 weeks I have released a total of 24 female and 6 male monarchs. Prior to the mating adults that were here in August, I had observed only 2 monarchs in my yard the entire summer. The eggs were deposited on common milkweed and asclepias curassavica, of which I have several panted in my SW Ohio yard and garden.
