We went on a short road trip today and saw 13 monarchs crossing the road. The predominant flight direction was south. When we cam home, 4:30 pm, we went down to the Butterfly Garden and observed many monarchs flying around the trees and a few that had settled. We went back at 6:00 pm and tagged 22 monarchs. There were a lot of small groups of 2-3 and we scared up a group that was 10+ monarchs.
