A beautiful sunny day with temps in the high 60's and a light NE wind I spotted 24 Monarchs over five hours on the South Shore of LI. All looked very healthy. They were flying with dragonflies and other butterflies.

I was also looking for monarchs on September 11th and 12th and only spotted one per afternoon.
