Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/26/2014

Number: 1

Today while weeding my flower garden, a very pleasant surprise was noted on my milkweed. I had a total of 4 monarch caterpillars. I noted that my milkweed had served as a wonderful habitat for monarchs this season. I have milkweed leaves that are chewed down to the spines of the leaves. I just had to snap pictures. This was an experience for us to have actually assisted in boosting the monarch population. We are awaiting the migration.
