Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2014

Number: 10

After a major shift from summer to late-fall-like weather, Sunday was bright, sunny, and a bit warmer. We saw at least 10 Monarchs (during the short time we were observing). Most seemed to be flying west along the road near Buffalo Lake. They weren't in a hurry, but were stopping at points to sun, rest, and gather nectar. Most were beautiful, healthy butterflies.
