We observed and counted 30 monarchs gathering to roost for the night. There were about at least 15-20 more that were still fluttering about trying to find the perfect spot in the trees along the break wall.

I shot a very short video clip that is a little less than a minute long.

The attached photo is of just a few of the monarchs observed. I didn't have my wide angle lens available as I was shooting photos of various birds at the time we spotted the monarchs as they began their roosting for the evening.
