My husband and I watched as several monarchs flew around the trees at dusk for a place to roost. We estimate about 35 to 40 monarchs were circling the tree and gathering. An oak tree was favored as it was getting the last of the sunlight. Most of these are likely monarchs I raised and released recently but I have seen some not from my group - very weathered.
