I was in my backyard mowing the lawn and doing some yardwork around 2 p.m., and I saw a beautiful healthy Monarch butterfly fluttering around my sunflowers and zinnias. It flew over my head and landed on a sunflower right in front of me! I was so excited! I stopped and stood there awhile and watched it sun itself and open its wings. It seemed to be resting awhile, then it flew over to the zinnias and ate awhile. It flew around then came back. It must've been back there a couple hours, then headed south over my fence! (I saw 3 Monarchs in 2 days. Made me happy! ;-)
