Still seeing 3 RT birds at once at least once a day. Two at once is more common, with single bird sightings the most common. Birds are obviously all migrants...they are skittish and usually circle around the feeders for a while before feeding heavily. Almost all fly off south. A few visit more than one feeder before flying south.
High of 75, very light breezes, mostly sunny. Birds consumed 3 oz. for the day. Birds are largely not guarding feeders (with rare brief exceptions when two birds arrive about the same time or when a bird rests on a branch before moving on South.)
I am dreading the day when they are all gone for the summer and their antics are but a memory. Nevertheless, I wish them all "God speed and safe journey."
