From 10:30 a:m until 5:30 p:m I sighted 7 different monarchs arriving at different times and staying for different lengths of time. The shortest time being 5 minutes and the longest 40 minutes. They all had stopped in our backyard to feed on our butterfly bushes, which are still blooming fairly well. The last monarch of the day had to jockey for position with 6 painted lady
butterflies on the bush where the sun was still shining. We had a very good "butterfly day" here with lots of sun.
