I didn't put up any feeders until July. I thought Denver didn't get hummingbirds ( I used to put them up when I lived in Golden) but heard a male at the Botanic Gardens close to downtown in July. I got a female a day later. I have had, at least seen, about 7 or 8 since I put the feeders up a couple of months ago. All passing through and all have been females. It has been a joy.
