Around 3:30 PM while walking in the goldenrod/aster field across the road from my home, I saw a monarch butterfly flitting about the flowers. I tried to take a photo, but the butterfly was moving quickly and then suddenly flew across the large field and out of sight. At least I was able to get close enough (1 foot away) to verify that it was indeed a beautiful monarch butterfly. The Temperature was 60 degrees F. with sun and clouds.
