We saw a juvenile female Broad-tailed hummingbird at the feeders yesterday. We haven't seen her at all today, 9/17. It looks like she might be the last one for the season which is earlier than last year's date of 10/7. We haven't seen the other three Broad-tailed juveniles since 9/14 and the two-adult Broad-tailed females that have been with us since spring seem to have left before the cold snap we got 9/11 through 9/13. Saw the last Broad-tailed male on 8/23. It's always so sad to see them go!
