We were lucky enough to have two male Calliope hummingbirds with us for three weeks from about 7/17 through 8/6. They guarded the feeders, fed on the perennials and annuals around the yard and fought with the resident Broad-tailed hummingbirds. We got a picture of one the Calliope males on his perch in our big Ash trees on 8/4.
