Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2014

Number: 1

Here are two Monarchs feeding in our garden today. Maybe our last of the season. I suspect they came from the roadside milkweed that is still growing, thanks to our township's postponed fall cut. Nearly three weeks ago I found one 3rd instar caterpillar there and hoped that by the middle of September it might become a butterfly.
So I'll say that's what happened.
Enjoy the day and thanks to all for your efforts on the Monarch's behalf...........
