Female monarch dropped in and nectared for about an hour. She stopped at pansies, petunias, zinnias, and coreopsis. After that she headed south gaining altitude to about 20 ft. but then dropped down onto a neighbor's zinnias. Leaving there after about 20 min. she flew south again at about 20 ft. Her sighting makes monarch number 5 for the entire year. At this rate, sightings will remain behind last year (10 total).
