Edward Cole and three other members of the AuSable Valley Audubon Club called me today to report monarchs in the "hundreds" at Tawas Point State Park, East Tawas, MI, in Iosco County last night. Temperature was in the 60's with a cold front approaching on strong north winds predicted by morning. Monarchs were perched on pines and aspen trees way out on the point.
