Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/18/2014

Number: 7

I was waiting for a cab at 520 Maple Street, Saratoga Springs, NY when I noticed that monarch butterflies were migrating south. I watched as every few minutes another monarch fluttered by. They were above tree line and even though alone, each followed the same course south. It was thrilling. As executive director of Happy Tonics, Inc. a nonprofit with the Mission: Sanctuary for the Monarch Butterfly, I was thankful to see the monarchs migrating through Saratoga Springs, NY. Yesterday, I watched as one monarch was sipping nectar from fall flowers on Broadway, main business street in Saratoga Springs, NY. Viva las mariposas!
