Though it seems late in the season, we still have three hummers actively feeding. The territorial wars are heating up and they chase each other back and forth away from the feeders. We have seen 2 females and a juvenile male throughout the day. One female likes to perch on a branch near the feeder, rock back and forth, and stand guard over it. Very touching to watch. We'll hate to see them go.
