Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 09/18/2014

Number: 200

200+ Monarchs continue to migrate through Rosetta McClain Gardens. A slightly slower but still steady flow all day. Monarchs were higher today... all business "migrating". Non tagged today as few came down to feed. At the hawk watch we have anywhere from 10-40+ hawk watchers. All are calling out "monarch" observations as they see them! Many monarchs are sighted very high as we look for raptors! They often fly with the eagles!

Migration Rate: 29 per hour
