Last week I had 50-80 hummers, then we (whole family) went to CA for a funeral, we were away 3 days. I came home to Zero hummers!!! Feeders were empty, totally dry, and the birds moved on. Now I have about 40 total that have come in, 1/5 ratio of male to female. The heavy rain over the past 3-4 days hasn't slowed them down. They seem to enjoy feeding during a downpour/thunderstorm.
