I stopped for lunch at a park in Arapahoe, a small town in Nebraska, and immediately noticed a few large Monarchs flying & landing. Got out of vehicle to walk through trees and flowers and was pleased to see more Monarchs than I expected. Several flying and landing on flowers. When I walked under some pine trees I saw many more clinging to the underside of tree branches on this misty, foggy day. Walked around this small park to get a rough idea how many were visible in this area before sitting down for a wonderful lunch.
