Our census is rapidly dwindling, we had one small female this morning, and 2 guests arrived just before it started to rain at 5 PM. We are thrilled to provide hospitality and accommodations to migrating guests--and have 8 foot red flags flying from a hill to entice and welcome migrating hummers. Our new guests spent quite some time "tanking up" by the feeders. Several "groups" of flowers are in bloom in the habitat--Dicentria, Dicentria Scandens, Obedient Plants, Nicotina, Foxglove, Turtle Heads, Rose Queen and Violet Cleome (which were winter sown:) Rose of Sharon, geraniums, Agaatache, and petunias. Last guest was sighted at 7:47 PM , muggy, damp, 65.1 degrees, winds from SW approx 14 mph during daylight hours today. Tonight should be much warmer than the mid 30 degree nights they had earlier this week.
