Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2014

Number: 250

First report to this site. This evening I saw many butterflies hanging on leaves on the lower branches of a locust tree and two other deciduous trees in a yard surrounding a farmhouse, protected by cedars that surround the house for a windbreak on the north and west. I saw them at least once last year and have just returned to stay at this farmhouse while I help with corn harvest. I will try to keep track of how many I see over the next month, each day.
