Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/19/2014

Number: 30

As the temperatures warmed up in the early afternoon, the Monarchs began to fly into my area. Of the 30 I observed, 25 flew to nectar on my flowers. Because of all the rain that the Kansas City area has received this Summer, there are plenty of wildflowers available for the butterflies to refresh themselves - ragweed, asters and sunflowers.
