I observed this beautiful male Monarch for about 2 hrs. from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. It was a beautiful late summer afternoon with temps. in the high 70's, partly cloudy with brisk winds. A storm was approaching and the Monarch had trouble holding onto the buddleia plant while it was being tossed around in the wind. I photographed it intermittently for about a half hour & the rest of the time I observed it through my front window.
