Yesterday we had four hummers buzzing each other at the three feeders I have available. I changed the nectar ratio from 4 to 1 up to 3 to 1 yesterday because I wanted the little birds to become more prepared and bulked up for the long trip south. I expected and have noticed that they are feeding now less frequently but I'm okay with that knowing they'll be more prepared. I will be sorry to see them go as this is the first time in nearly 19 years living here that we've had these little beauties (even though I've put put feeders during these years) visit us!!!
