Continue to have guests in the habitat, the girls were up early and stayed close to Sherpard hooks with branches attached--near the house--it was rainy, cold and windy today--temperatures dropped from 66 degrees to 50.5 today, 42 degrees is predicted by 6 AM --with a "feels like 37 degrees" from The Weather Channel. Winds of approx 12 MPH throughout the day. Our guests enjoyed the sheltered proximity of the nectar feeders to the house--they enjoyed a little rain with the option to sit on a branch under the eves of the house when they wanted a little shelter from the storm. Flowers continue to be abundant--obedient plants, dicentria, geraniums, turtle heads, cleome, agastache. Our hummer census is similar to what we were seeing in 2013. It is a pleasure and honor to host the small girls who are migrating on such a Magnificient Journey.
