Spotted 6 fresh monarchs at the southern tip of Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick. They were mixed sexes - feeding in a field of flowering Golden Rod and New England aster. All six were on the aster. Perhaps they were "bunched up" awaiting favorable winds to cross the Bay of Fundy?
