I cleaned my feeder this morning and replenished it with fresh nectar. I hadn't seen any hummers since the 19th of September, but I know from past experience, that stragglers continue to stop by for some time yet. While eating dinner around 7pm, we noticed a female at the feeder. She was very nervous, and only ate for a few seconds, then flew off into the surrounding woods. Today we only had a high temp of 54 degrees, and it's been windy and raw all day long.
