Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 09/22/2014

Number: 15

Stopping along Highway 175 several miles east of Eldora to photograph fall asters in a "Do not mow or spray" section of the ditch at about 5 pm on a sunny day, I encountered at least 15 monarchs feeding on the flowers, as well as clouded sulphurs, bees and other insects. What beautiful "roadside bouquets!"
