I still have one and fairly sure a female. Having adjusted the bee guards every day they are less of a problem because they cant reach as far in as the hummers is what I think.
We had alot of bluebirds in the spring then they left, hoping they come back thru soon so I dont miss the hummers so much or at least I try to think that way. also not fond of those gross mealworms but the bluebirds never seemed to want anything else including some bluebird "pellets" we bought that were suet-y and just brought grackles down on us like a Hitchcock movie. I bought some over-priced flavored mealworms when the garden center sold out the plain ones and they were very popular - maybe they were sweet? I thought it was wretched excess but I couldnt bear empty feeders either.
