9 Monarch butterflies spotted in 10 minutes today at Kenesserie Tallgrass Prairie. Some butterflies where dropping down into the prairie to nectar on sunflowers and goldenrod before resuming their south-west flight pattern at tree top level. Nectar plants at this location are abundant and in good condition. I snapped a photo of a monarch nectoring on golden rod.
