Clearville Park is on the north shore of Lake Erie about 30 miles north east of Pt. Pelee. Monarchs pass through Clearville Park on their way to Pt. Pelee where they cross the lake to Ohio. Today there was very strong head winds blowing from the south-west so Monarchs were unable to make any progress so they just hung around the park. They were easy to spot on nectoring plants which are still abundant at this location.
