Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/19/2014

Number: 2

This morning it was about 30 degrees out. I brought out room temp nectar. Two RUTH, one at the back feeder and one at the side feeder quickly came to take advantage of that. I watched them on and off for about an hour thinking how it might be the last sighting of the season and that they could take off any time. I was correct. Later in the day they were not out there and at their typical fuel up time around 6pm there was no sign of them.
Here is a pic I got of one of them the morning of the 18th.
Safe journey south, see you in the spring my friends :>---
