Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 09/24/2014

Number: 1

I'm constantly finding larvae and a few eggs on my tropical milkweeds - approximately 250 in the yard right now. Varying instars. I take a sleeve and place over the larva and plant to try to prevent tachinid flies etc from getting them. They are free to leave and go to a new plant when they run out of leaves.

Some of these may be from some I released but I have seen tattered wild ones coming through with no tag and they also laid eggs over the last week or two.
