I've had 8 feeders out the last month for the migrators...3 always up since 1st of May.
I haven't seen a male for at a week-10 days. There's always one female guarding each
feeder and in the early am and just before dusk there are a couple of them that are
sharing their feeder...last year on this date I had at least 12-15 buzzing around and my
last sighting was Oct.1. I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and we are getting a warm weather week so we may get the last few from MN and WI coming our way. It does seem to be a lighter number this year for the fall migrating hummers.
