Observed female monarch nectaring on New England asters in bloom along the northern shoreline of Lake Erie about 9am Sunday morning 9/21. She allowed me to get about 8' from her, then flew off. Winds from the lake were about 10mph and she struggled to relight upon goldenrod. This is about 20 kilometers east of Pt. Pelee.
