Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/19/2014

Number: 1

Walked along the entire perimeter of the canal spit at the north east side of the Welland canal where it meets lake ON.
Repeated the walk today and netted ZERO monarchs. One did fly past me when I arrived home in the north end of St. Catharines about 3 km south-west of the south end of that walk.

Note there had been a few days with cold winds with North component to them prior to today. The purple asters they feed on were still fresh and ready for feeding but only cabbage whites and bees were feeding.

Some images can be seen here.
