I have seen quite a few Monarchs today. Maybe a dozen to two dozen. The weather is mid 70s, winds are from the southeast 5-10 miles per hour. Saw one migrating over a lake. The rest were all feeding. This afternoon found an alfalfa and red clover field, maybe 10-20 acres, and I believe there are at least a dozen Monarchs feeding there, maybe more.
Very late in the season, but this is the 4th generation and nature is giving it a try. We need north winds and mild temperatures for one more week, but we won't get the good winds until after Saturday at least...........
