In the late afternoon I watched as 2 monarchs stopped to nectar on several of the flowering plants in our garden. It was a warm, sunny day and they didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave. We still have tithonia, verbena bonariensis, butterfly bushes and zinnia,and lantana in bloom.
